Friends Gather to Celebrate ‘Easy Money’

Becoming a published author is a big deal, especially when you hold a wealth of knowledge that will undoubtedly make a real change. This is what Danny Hooper has achieved by penning “Easy Money – How to Generate Record Profits at Your Next Fundraising Auction Event’.

Tuesday night, we held an official book launch party for ‘Easy Money’ where we saw over 70 of Danny’s biggest supporters come together to celebrate his recent accomplishments. The Royal Alberta Museum was the perfect setting for this gourmet hot dog and wine event. Yes, that’s right. Gourmet hot dogs from Elizabethan Catering! There was a buffet of toppings from bacon to cheese to hot peppers to sauerkraut.

Until Danny becomes a Canadian Best-selling Author, that is all we can afford.

After a bit of mingling, wine sipping and a bite to eat, guests made their way into the Museum Theatre for a special presentation by Danny about why he wrote the book and created the ground-breaking web based app – Symphony Checklist Builder for Fundraising Auction Events. It was then revealed that this is not just about running a business anymore – it’s about making an impact.

The evening wasn’t just about a book and a website either. Danny wanted to introduce a new side of himself that many of his friends and family may not be fully aware of. We all know him as an Entertainer, Emcee, Auctioneer, Morning Radio Host and Father. Now, it is time we get to know Danny as a Social Entrepreneur. This is someone he has always been, but it wasn’t brought into light until recently when his business coach Les Hewitt, made the connection. People walked out of the theatre excited and in awe of what Danny had been quietly creating.

Our guests ended the evening on a sweet note with a special treat from Wild Earth Bakery. We had the most delicious cake and I have never seen so many people so eager to take a plate, a box, or a piece home to savor.

We also hope they took more than that away. We hope they felt the excitement and passion that we do every day here at Danny Hooper Productions.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Danny in his career and for sharing this journey with us. And a very special thanks to Neil Tran from Leap Web Solutions for flying out from Victoria, BC to share his knowledge on the development of Symphony Checklist Builder.
