Edmonton Broadcasters Club

When: 12:00 pm
edmontonbroadcasters.com/

The Edmonton Broadcasters Club provides an environment for long-time broadcasters in the Edmonton area to keep in touch:

  • Two luncheons each year, in October and April, at the Norwood Legion, featuring a top notch speaker, excellent food and plenty of time for socializing;
  • A web site at edmontonbroadcasters.com documenting Edmonton broadcasters past and present, both the people and the stations where they worked.

Who can attend? Any current or former broadcaster is invited to attend Club luncheons, even if they never worked in Edmonton. Anyone may come as the guest of broadcaster, even those without broadcast experience. Club Membership is not a requirement for attendance.

Why join the Edmonton Broadcasters Club? Many Members have been contacted by e-mail by long lost friends through the Club’s Members web page, which gives Members the option of being e-mailed without revealing their e-mail address. As well as being listed there, Members are also recognized with their own individual web page, complete with pictures, any published articles about them, and their own biography. Audio and Video airchecks will also be added in the future.

Even if you choose not to become a Club Member, you can still be listed in our Broadcasters By Letter pages, complete with your station chronology and up to two pictures.

Most Members just want to be part of an organization dedicated to broadcasters, and cherish their Membership card. Currently, Memberships cost a one time fee of $5.
