And have a cup of Cheer…
Yesterday I flipped to the final page of the 2016 calendar and nearly flipped out – there it was already…DECEMBER!
While many businesses start winding down at this time of year, here at Danny Hooper Productions there’s still a lot of ground to cover in the next few weeks. This Sunday I’ll miss my beloved NFL games as I begin emceeing the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers Conference in Edmonton for three days, then it’s onto our 16th annual multi-company Christmas parties (called The Danny Hooper Deck the Hall Ball) at the Enjoy Centre in St. Albert on December 10, 11, 16, and 17 http://www.edmontonchristmasparties.com/welcome I’ve been brushing up on my guitar and learning a few new songs as my band and I will be performing each night, something I still love to do. Between the two party weekends I fly back to Laguna Hills in southern California to record a series of fundraising auction podcasts for Winspire, then on the 19th we celebrate my 60th birthday!
No wonder I haven’t had time yet to reflect back on this year – I’ll save that for the 20+ hour flight to Bali on New Year’s Eve. Why Bali? Well, my partner Brenda and I are launching a new venture called Turning Point Personal Development early in the new year, and we’re heading there for three weeks of meditation training. She’s taken a leave of absence after teaching high school math and psychology for 27 years to complete her certification as an Attwood Passion Tester, and I was certified earlier this year as a Canfield Success Principles Trainer (Jack Canfield is the New York Times best-selling author of the Chicken Soup For the Soul series and The Success Principles).
We’re both super-excited about this new chapter in our lives and I fully expect that next year, and the decade to follow, will be my personal best yet.
Cheers to that!
